Hi Laurent
Thanks for your help... Particularly  for pointing out that the PTT function mutes the USB input!
All working now but with an unacceptable high level of noise on the audio. I guess it's being generated somewhere in my laptop. Hopefully I can find out what's causing that, otherwise it's back to analog.
