[WT-support] Fw: Mic/Headset not muting

Hello lads

Some sound cards don't have the option to mute the microphone input. This has been stated before and I have given a suggestion before to the Win-Test crew that instead of muting the microphone input, why not just save the current slider value, change it to 0 and then change it back to the previous setting but as far as I know this was never implemented. In N1MM they have done it this way but the Win-Test crew believe its better to buy new hardware.

Here is a discussion previously,

Mic has always been selected and is always selected in the Recording Control settings. (I even tried the front panel mic with no success). The Input Monitor seems to have ALL the effect on the mic, as even checking "Line-In" as the recording device yields the same results.

If it is doing that, and you have recorded a message via Shift+F1, then Win-Test is working properly with your sound card, and the mic. should be muted.
