Maybe it is the reason why it doesn't work for you ?

The "grab" function is not triggered by the key itself, but when the 
standard INSERT message (set in the Options / RTTY / Modifiy standard 
messages dialog) is sent. If your INSERT *scenario* message does not 
include a $INSERT command, it will not work.

You must always consider the SO2R scenarios as "automating" TX switches, 
RX switches and using the "regular" messages.
