[WT-support] default.dta file

Bob and Larry

Thanks for your perspectives

Firstly Bob I never normally use the partial or N+1 windows, nor e.g.
exchange guessing, since I just copy what I hear ( I am 100% CW btw).

then you ask

<<Are you selecting "Used files list" in the check partial pop-up menu
to determine which file is being used by each window?
Are you checking "In log only" in the pop-up menu? You probably don't
want to do that.>>

To the second part, no .

To the first part, yes of course, although it is puzzling that despite a
lot of info being in the window, no option is available, only to close
the window. However I confirm that for both windows default.dta is
selected.

Sometimes an example is helpful, so that if e.g. I enter my own
callsign, then the N+1 window lists GW3NJW GW3KJW but the partial window
lists GW3NJW/Clive, which of course is what is in the default.dta file .
iow it is a sort of " friends" file and lists the names of almost 500
ops. that I would like to greet by name. I find that in my dotage (
sorry Larry that's a strange word in the English language!) I am no
longer able to remember the names of 500 friends ;-)

Please let me know how else I could help resolve this problem.
