Personally I hope the Win-Test developers do *not* make Windows 7 a high
priority item right now, unless it is something quick and easy to fix. This
OS isn't even officially released yet, and even when it is, I believe less
than 5% of Win-Test users will be running Windows 7 on their contesting
computers until after Christmas.

While WT4 added a lot of good function such as ESM, rotator support, and
audio recording, I hope adding some of the following unsupported features
will be given higher priority than supporting Windows 7, e.g.

   1. $CLEARRIT macro
   2. $SWAPVFO macro
   3. SO2V support (Single Op, Two VFO, working like SO2R)
   4. Much more complete CW Skimmer support in WtDXTelnet (e.g., click on
waterfull to tune VFO on rig; dupes / mults worked flagged on waterfall)
   5. Tune RIT via keyboard (on rigs with sufficient command set)
   6. Additional CW / RIT messages on F8, F9, F10, F12 (legacy CT functions
no longer needed on these keys, AutoHotKey not an ideal solution, Alt-C
messages inaccessible via single keystrokes due to DEFINEKEYS limitation)
   7. Maintain different CW speeds on Rig 1 and Rig 2
   8. Visible Dupe Sheet (really needed for Sprints)
   9. Additional LUA functions that will allow us to develop scripts for
popular unsupported contests such as the California QSO Party.

I'm sure everyone has their own list. Without feedback from an online poll,
it's difficult for the developers to understand what is most important to
most users. I've thought about trying to put together such a poll, but
gathering a complete list of "most requested features" isn't that easy.
Hopefully the developers already have such as list and they will share it
with us so we can vote and this will give them valuable feedback. I don't
think Windows 7 support will make it to the top of the list, not this year
anyway.

At least most of the early bugs are getting fixed pretty quickly; we should
all be happy about that!

73,
