[WT-support] WT and Winkey

Chris,

sorry, but the last para of your mail raises my blood pressure a bit. In my
mind and from my two years experience with the WinTest development team
these guys are second to none when it comes to service, speed of reply and
precise action in case of bugs. The speed with which they turn out new
releases is unparalleld.

Whenever I had questions or reported a bug I got an answer the same day or
over night. Fantastic!

Admittedly I didn't follow your correspondence with the development team too
closely although the problems addressed by you - embedding the
microKEYER/WINKEYER in WT - have also been and still are my problems.
However, I guess it doesn't really help the guys to mention basically the
same issues time and again. To give you an example: I think I have read at
least three or four times in your messages that you consider the speed step
in transmitting the 599 as poor cw-practice and you would prefer not to have
this feature as a default. If that's your considered opinion: Fine. I don't
share it. The 599/5nn is garbage, an absolutely useless piece of
information. But required by the rules of most contests. So why not apply
common sense and deal with it as a piece of garbage? And it is so easy to
take the speed up/speed down out of the F-Key messages! Is it really worth
mentioning this topic at all?

What I wanted to say is that in my oppinion the guys are doing a fantastic
job for all of us and we should avoid everything which tends to distract
their attention from or their enthusiasm of continuing to develop an even
better tool for all of us.
