Hi,
We have been requested by different WRTC competitors for adding a
feature to pass a frequency to the VFO B (or the secondary VFO when
available).
This feature could be of interest as well in a multi-op environment, to
let the RUN making QSY quickly on his band for working a multiplier.
To be honest, such a feature is not easy to implement because it is
really related of the radio. With icom radios, for example, it is
necessary to first activate the VFO B to program its frequency, then
activate back VFO A.
I think that a good compromise would be to add a right-click mouse
option "Pass on VFO B" on both the Bandmap and the Pass mult windows. We
can also provide a specific option "always program VFO B" when
double-clicking on a callsign in these windows. I would like to go on
step by step because everything which is related to the radios is really
a mess! If everything goes fine with this development, we could then
think to improve it further.
SP7NJX also requested for a "Partner"-like feature available in CT. This
is an interesting idea, which could be IMHO of interest for the WRTC as
well.
