Hi Larry,

Sorry for the lack of information regarding the advanced SO2R mode. Most
of the information are available in the release.txt file only, which is
not the most confortable way to learn how it works! I'll try to give
some tips here to help getting started using WT in SO2R mode with EZMaster.

With EZMaster, you should switch to "Advanced SO2R mode", in menu
"Operating | Technique".

Then, open the scenario configuration window (in "Operating" menu), and
select, say, "Plain pile up" as scenario 1 and "Alternate CQ" as
scenario 2. You can have up to 8 different scenarios.

Still in "Operating" menu, tick "Shift binds to the secondary radio".
You can also tick the "The second footswitch binds to the secondary
radio" as well. This second footswitch must be connected on the EZMaster
(but I must confess that I don't remember which pin of the whichport).

Then, open the "Secondary radio" Window (in "Windows" menu).

Now, you are ready for advanced SO2R operation.

First, try each scenarios you defined before, sending CQ for example.
After that, you are welcome to try other predefined scenarios and modify
them according to your need.

If you want to access the secondary radio window to log a callsign, send
CQ, or whatever, just press SHIFT and the key you want to be redirected
into the secondary window. SHIFT+F1 will transmit CQ on the secondary
radio. SHIFT+N0XB will enter your call in the secondary radio window.
Pressing SHIFT+INSERT, WT will send the report on as well, etc. The
EZMaster will also switch the headphone according to the moment of the
QSO (this is defined in the scenarios).

A second footswitch can mimic the "SHIFT" key behaviour if you think
that it is more suitable.

You will maybe find anoying to have pressing SHIFT to access the
secondary window. IMO it is just a problem of practice! After the first
contest with a huge SO2R operation, this will be as a reflex ;)

In SO2R advanced, I strongly suggest to tick "Tools | Data Entry |
Exchange guessing | Automatically".

I hope that these few tips will help you being happy with the advanced
SO2R mode of WT. Feel free to get in touch with us if needed.

Enjoy!
