José,

I know what you mean, I am thankfull that you borrowed me your SO2R Box, I really appreceat it!

My problem is not the WX0B box because I have done contest with this Box and CT and It workid great!

My only problem is when I choose ALTERNATE CQ (SO1R Advanced) WIN-TEST follows the CQ band! EX: I am calling CQ on 20m and WIN-TEST should be on 15m to write calls from my previous CQ on 15m, but it isnt, WIN-TEST follows the CQ band! that is my problem.
What I dont understand is why when i use win-test I have this problem and if i use CT I dont have it!

SO2R works fine with WIN-TEST even with WX0B Box the only thing is that the feature that I would be using mostly in dead times doenst work! Thats my frustration!

  Hi Filipe

You have to tame your frustration....

  :-))

Anyway the problem is not with Win-Test, the problem is is old generation SO2R control boxes.

WX0B SO2R is a stand alone product. You cannot control it from the computer, no matter if you use Win-Test, CT or any other logger. Some years ago I did 8000 plus QSOs on CW from P40E using CT and WX0B. For every single QSO I had to manually use WX0B rotary switch to manually change the audio settings of the headphones. You should have seen my fingers after the contest. Also with fatigue I sometimes would not change the settings, thus not being totally SO2R efficient. Now with Win-test all the audio settings move automatically.

Win-test enables the user to control the audio settings of the headphones directly from the keyboard (manually), or with macros (automatically), depending of the moment of the QSO, using the scenarios. But to do that the SO2R control boxes needs to be able to communicate with the program. EZmaster can communicate with the program because it is a new generation SO2R box.

But Win-Test is not only for advanced SO2R. Going back to CT is like going back to 1986 DOS world. For sure you want to be in 2006 world, but of course that is only my educated guess....

I liked WIN-TEST untill now! even in M/S it worked great!

Now that I see that WIN-TEST in SO2R is only for EZMASTER I see that I got to go back to CT for WIN.

    Filipe,

With technique set to SO2R ALTGr A and ALTGr T do not work. As you do not have an independent control line to select RxA or RxB this is what you would expect. There is a stereo line on LPT pin 9 or 5 so ALTGr S should toggle stereo mode, but it does not seem to be working in version 3.

I would like to see ALTGr S toggle stereo and grey out ALTGr A & ALTGr T when in basic SO2R mode. Also grey out ALGr S if the 'Stereo RX audio' in LPT properties has not been ticked. This will allow people with boxes like the WX0B and ZS4TX to use them correctly.

    Hi ALL,

I am testing some SO2R stuff now that my secund tower is up and I came up with the following:

When using WX0B SO2R Box, ALTGr A, ALTGr T, ALTGr S, wont work. Is this normal with this SO2R Box?

If I choose Alternate CQ as Scenario, ok that it calls CQ on each rig from time to time but the thing is when RADIO A is active should WIN-TEST change automatically to RADIO B's frequncy(band)

What I have for example is when RADIO A is cqing on 20m WIN-TEST shows me also 20m and it should show me RADIO B's instead which would be 15m RIGHT?
