Congrats. You hit a bug !

In fact you are not able to set your own IOTA in the contest settings 
dialog (the entry field is disabled). Thus, the scoring is obviously 
wrong in the case above. This will be fixed in the next release.

There is no "number reservation" or this sort of thing in WT today. The 
main reason is that feature cannot be reliable in every circonstances. 
Anyhow, you can "adjust" the sent serial with the Edit / Edit serial 
number menu if you need to "re-sync"...
