In fact, using the shift-8 combination is not really convenient... The 
real answer to this issue, if you want to use a different key than the 
numeric pad '*', is to redefine it. Use the Options / Redefine keys menu 
(or enter a DEFINEKEYS text command). BTW, after a key redefinition, the 
original key ("*") is still working...
