Hi,
We have analyzed things and propose that development team would concider
to implement following features in WT:
-Tonno asked to implement no poll during ptt. In addition it we would
like to get no poll feature (Rig interface doesn't poll radio at all).
Just listen the interface and send when some other than poll-commands
are wanted to send to radio. This is needed if two computers share same
interface. It would be handy to setup this thing in same place where you
select radio type...These no-poll and no-poll during ptt features should
be able to be configured separately to 1. and 2. radios.
-I think that Tonno already asked that but we would like to have such
swap feature that doesn't change active radio. It just swaps A and B
radio frequencies together and allows you to continue the run that radio
what was selected before swap.
-Would it be possible to implement so called virtual radio concept so
that you can define that WT has one radio connected straight to that
computer and other radio connected via other networked PC. In practice
this means that WT sends radion controlling commands to other WT in
network which sends these to radio and routes response messages back to
sender. When radio polls to virtual radio, receiving WT can reply latest
command that it had got from that physical radio. This way you can
define that your WT has two radios connected 1 physically and 1 via network.
-If previous feature cannot be implemented would it be possible to get
such functionality that it enables to swap to radios together so that
other radio is connected in other PC. Means that you can swap easily
radio A and Radio B frequencies so that Radio A is connected to computer
A and Radio B is connected to computer B (and computers are of course
networked).
- Tonno requested also this, but when you are sweeping around bands it
would be handy to get callsing from bandmap automatically inserted in
callsign field. This is good specially when swapping radios on other
frequencies. If you have call in bandmap and swap radio to that freq.
you are able to automatically get callsign in...no need to type
anything. Also some improvments to bandmap: When writing callsign in
field and starting move out from that freq, this callsign can be
inserted in bandmap and callsign field can be cleared. When both
features are implemented this make multiplier hunting & bandmap filling
more efficient and faster. Also..it would be nice to get your own CQ
freq. marks in bandmap. This can be inserted to that frequency where you
started to call CQ
- Can you please also implement counter that counts time from last
bandchange.
- When you are in keyboard mode (alt-k) would it be possible to stop CW
and exit on that mode when pressing ESC. Now with latest WT version
CW-ends, but the window stays active.
-Status window: Would it be possible to implement functionality that
hides the QSY freq field from status window...It would make that window
a little smaller because you dont need that informatin in all setups
- Would it be possible to get graph that shows time distribution / band?
-Of course..good old friend: ESM-Mode...Is there chance to get that?
One of questions:
-Is it now possible to insert qsos from two different computers which
are on same band / same mode / same frequency so that there are no
conflicts in QSY timers or so? In last time when we tried this we had
several problems with QSY timers...and those forced us to restart WT and
that caused that our log-files was unsync....
This was wish list from Team OH :)
