Hi,
I can also see that Win-Test is guessing the ITU zone for all USA
stations as zone 08. That is not good.
I have checked, what Writelog is doing in IARU mode.
They recognize zones 06, 07 and 08 by the number in the callsign OK.
In the wl_cty.dat file the USA entry reads:
[snip]
Jordan: 20: 39: AS: 32.00: -35.90: -2.0: JY:
JY;
United States: 05: 08: NA: 43.00: 87.90: 5.0: K:
# K: K5(4)[7], K6(3)[6], K7(3)[6], K8(4), K9(4)[7], K0(4)[7];

K5DXR(5)[8],K5FUV(5)[8],K5IID(5)[8],K5KG(5)[8],K5MA(5)[8],K5MDX(4)[8],
[snip]
The line in red is how Writelog is handling this.
As a first step I have tried to simply enter this line into the Win-Test
cty.dat, but then Win-Test displays an error message and refuses
to start.
Maybe this helps for a quick shot...

Betreff: RE: [Wrtc] Suggested IARU Zone
Hi,
Not sure - does WT have a prefix/IARU Zone conversion file? For
instance, a W9 should automatically fill in zone 07, UA9AB zone 17,
etc. All W's appear to be assigned only zone 8 regardless of location.
I noted the suggested zone is therefore often incorrect.
The ck partial should be allowed to work, but the Master.dta removed so
it only checks for stations worked by the WRTC station operators.

John W2GD
