Bob, thanks for the quick response.  That's a solution and I will incorporate it at my home station but  . . . I was really looking for a simple "switch" solution that I could use as a guest Op at someone else's station.  It appears I will either have to remember what happens or switch off ESM as I have done in the past.73 and GL in CQWW
