The Win-Test code for the FT-891 does not work at all. F6FVY would like a
volunteer to lend him an FT-891 so that he can work on fixing it.
Apparently this radio uses a much different command set than other Yaesu
radios.

The best way to get the FT-891 working immediately with Win-Test is to
control it via OmniRig, using radio type to FT-991 (in OmniRig).

Download two files:

http://dxatlas.com/OmniRig/Files/OmniRig.zip
http://dxatlas.com/OmniRig/Files/RigIni.zip

Unzip the first and run OmniRigSetup.exe .

Unzip the second to a very specific folder named:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Afreet\OmniRig\Rigs\

which should have been created by OmniRigSetup. Extraction will require
Administrator privileges. You will also need to chose "Replace All" when
prompted.

In Win-Test, change radio type of Radio 1 to OmniRig, and uncheck the COM
port that you were previously trying to use (OmniRig will now own the
radio's COM port).

Configure OmniRig to use FT-*991* on the COM port as Radio 1 (FT-891 is not
listed), 38400, N, 8, 2, RTS and DTR always LOW.

In the FT-891 menu, be sure to set CAT RTS to DISABLE.

Win-Test should now be able to track your FT-891.
