[WT-support] External PTT vs u2R

I think the Win-Test code looks for PTT status via the microHAM control
port whenever it is activated.  If you bypass all u2R PTT function, the
"PTT ack" is never returned from the u2R to Win-Test.

Instead of connecting the COM8 PTT circuit to your radio, did you try to
connect it to the footswitch input of the u2R instead?  That may provide a
PTT input that may allow the u2R to report PTT status back to Win-Test
(maybe).  Of course then you have to connect the PTT outputs of the u2R to
your radio.

But, why use COM8 and an external transistor circuit to generate PTT
instead of using the u2R virtual serial ports and PTT output lines to
generate PTT?
