First, the check partial windows use database files, not country files, and
they must be downloaded manually, not via Win-Test. You may also install
my UpdateCtySCP batch file to automate the process of updating all these
files (download the batch file from http://bit.ly/wtscripts, follow the
instructions in the readme inside the Zip).
Renaming a file to HF.DTB will not work. Never rename a file and change
the last three letters. HF.DTB is not country file, it is default check
partial and prefill database, required for Win-Test to start cleanly, but
rarely used. MASTER.DTA or MASTER.SCP are the files you want to use for
check-partial.
MASTER.DTA = binary check partial file -- "callsign data" (same content as
.SCP file, but in a legacy CT format)
HF.DTB = legacy binary check partial file -- "database" (some prefill
capability), legacy from old days of Win-Test, not used much any more
MASTER.SCP = ascii super-check partial partial file
CTY_WT_MOD.DAT = ascii country file, not a super-check partial file.
Please read http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Check_Partial_and_Np1_Files and
pay particular attention to the section on how to fix Windows so you can
really see the true and complete file name (the last three letters are
almost always hidden by Windows).
