Yes if you disconnect the RS-232 line between Win-Test and the radio, so it
cannot read the mode, and then change band and mode in Win-Test manually to
match the band and mode of the radio, by pressing Alt-F1 and Ctrl-F1, but I
don't think that is what you want.

I think most people use FSK for RTTY with the FT-1000MP and DigiKeyer,
instead of AFSK, so they don't have this issue. Step by step instructions
to configure Win-Test, MMTTY, and the DigiKeyer to use FSK instead of AFSK
are documented here:

If you insist on using AFSK, one thing you could try is to edit the
Win-Test BandPlan to map RTTY frequencies to PKT mode rather than RTTY.
 But you may have to do more than that.

You could try to tell Win-Test to use OmniRig
<http://www.dxatlas.com/omnirig> to control the radio instead of the
built-in FT-1000MP support. Install OmniRig and configure it for your
radio's CAT port and baud rate. Start Win-Test and tell it to use Radio
type "OmniRig" instead of FT-1000MP. Uncheck the COM port in Win-Test so
that only OmniRig talks to the radio directly.

Then you will have to edit the *FT-1000 MP.ini* file that ships with
OmniRig, to tell it to map PKT mode to "DIG" (default is to map RTTY mode
to DIG). You would change these lines:

[pmDIG_U]
Command=00000009.0C
ReplyLength=0

[pmDIG_L]
Command=00000008.0C
ReplyLength=0

to:

[pmDIG_U]
Command=0000000B.0C
ReplyLength=0

[pmDIG_L]
Command=0000000A.0C

and it should move the radio to PKT mode when you select mode RTTY in
Win-Test. You may also need to change these lines:
