Thank you Dave – that was most helpful!

I had searched the MS website earlier and did not see that page.

Any thoughts on where/how I can in expensively get MS Excel?

Tnx & 73

Microsoft Love Mail is an APPLICATION. It can be downloaded from:

Microsoft Outlook is also an application. Using it does not require crating or logging into a Microsoft Account

Subject: [WT-support] Fw: WIN 7 Professional 64 Bit computer: AccessingWindows Live Mail for contest software and emails

I recently purchased 2 WIN 7 Professional 64 Bit computers from New Egg.

I wanted to download the Win-test software on both and I realized that I needed to set

up my email on both. On my other WIN 7 computers I use Windows Live Mail.

When I did a search for “Mail” I saw the Windows Live Mail folder and clicked

on it. Instead of Windows Live Mail appearing, I instead saw an “OUTLOOK”

sign in page. On my other Win 7 computers this does not occur – Windows Live Mail

comes up, as it should.

I have no desire to create a Microsoft account much less to have to log in

each time I want to access email.

Can any of the “gurus” on this reflector please tell me how I can access

Windows Live Mail and/or obtain and install it so that I can set up my email

and utilize it without Outlook or having to sign in?

Also, there is no MS Excel on these computers. Does anyone know where I can

obtain a reasonably priced copy (free is best of course) so that I can access

other .xls or .xlsx files through my homegroup? I need this for logging since

I use an .xls file for my qso and other qso and qsl related information.

Thanks.

73 and Happy Holidays!

Bob KQ2M
