[WT-support] Winkey sending only single character

Braco and Simon,

First the WinKey v10 is the oldest version of the WinKey chip, and it has
bugs. The current release is 2.3.

If you checked the box labeled "Enable WinKey Version 2 Additional
Features" in Win-Test's WKSETUP dialog, please remove that check mark.
These features are not supported by the version of the WinKey chip that
you are using. However, this may have nothing to do with the problems you
are seeing.

Instead of "restarting Win-Test" or "rebooting router software or
Win-Test", just do the following three steps: Setup [Enter] [Enter], that is

   1. In the Win-Test logging window, type SETUP
   2. Press [Enter] and Win-Test will open the Interface configuration
   dialog
   3. Press [Enter] again to close the dialog

This re-initializes all serial port communications, which fixes most
temporary communications problems It is much faster than exiting and
restarting Win-Test or rebooting the computer.

If you are using an MK2R or MK2R+ with an Elecraft K3, communications will
be unreliable and the MK2R will often hang. Disabling the 2nd COM port for
the radio, in the Router Ports tab, may help.

Simon,

Please send me your WT.INI file; I want to see exactly what is being used
there for all ports. Please also send me a screen shot of your Ports tab
if you are using any devices supported by the microHAM Router (but it
sounds like you are not).

73,
