Hello Bob, I have checked through all of your advice below but the problem
still remains.
When I did the initial set up for SSB the Auto CQ function worked
perfectly. The problem seems to have appeared when I set up for the
WAE Contest.
When I get the time I will retrace my steps and/or try using another set up
to
see if that works.
I did find that hitting Esc or the Space Bar {hitting any of the other keys
did not
work} b4 hitting F1 sent a single CQ call, but even though REPEAT showed up
next to the SPEED indicator no repeat occurred.
I will keep u info'ed on my efforts.

In the logging Window, type RPTDELAY [Enter] and make sure the delay isn't
set too long. Once the repeat cycle starts, hitting F1 doesn't restart a CQ
immediately. You do have to type a call or hit Escape first to stop the
cycle before F1 will immediately play a CQ.
In the RPTDELAY window, click the Phone tab, and make sure the F1 key is
checked by default (I think it has to be).
If you type NORPT [Enter] does F1 work immediately every time?
Make sure you have not assigned a LUA script to the F1 key (SCRIPTS
[Enter]).
