Usually this is caused by having the Win-Test SOUND setting turned on, which
puts CW sidetone on the PC speaker.  Please try NOSOUND [Enter] to see if
the problem disappears.  If using the MK2R+ Winkey, be sure to go into
WKSETUP and set PTT Lead and Tail to 0 ms.

The K3 will also produce very choppy CW if CONFIG:TX DLY is set much higher
than the default of 8 ms.
