[WT-support] Fwd: Feature request: Country window with possibility to edit information

I sent the e-mail already yesterday, but for some reason it didn't go
through....

Hi Bob & all!

I'm sorry to say that Bob you missed my point totally! I don't want to
summarize any existing information to new window. I want to have
window working just like Extra Information window, but not according
to the complete and exact callsign but dxcc entity of the call (or
prefix).

I think that I'm quite well aware of the features Win-Test is
providing at the moment and all those features you mentioned in you
e-mail are know here. I'm also quite sure that no other logging SW
provides this kind of information at the moment.

So what I'm suggesting, is the editable display window where you can
*manually* enter notes according to DXCC entity. Now before the
contest we have to go through many DX bulletins, NG3K information, old
logs etc. and write that information ON PAPER!

Then during the contest we either have to remember all that DXCC
related information or check it from notes (and that's something we
don't have time to), when WT could show us the information according
to DXCC entity.

Take a loot at my 1st mail about the subject and think about the use
cases shown there, I'm sure you'll get it ;)

Some Win-Test users may not know that many of these features are already
available, though not all in one window.  In addition to the Check
Multipliers window<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Windows#Check_Multipliers>
[F10], you
can press [Ctrl-P] to display the QSY
Wizard<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Windows#QSY_Wizard>to
determine the best time to work a station (if HamCap is installed).
You
can press [Alt-D] to pass a
station<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Commands#Pass_a_station> or
[Alt-E] to create a
sked<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Commands#Take_a_sked>.
Both pop-up windows allow you to add comments or notes about the station.
Both skeds and passes are combined and displayed in the Skeds
window<http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Windows#Skeds>(Alt-B),
including the notes.  You can right click on a pass or sked to
modify it or delete it, and the skeds can be sorted by band (but not by
country).

Combining everything together in the Check Multipliers window seems do-able,
but the window would have to be a lot wider.
