[WT-support] Microkeyer: Couple of questions...

Thanks, chaps, for the suggestions.
It's a MK original.
I have updated to WT 4.5.1
I had already set it to CW only using the Winkeyer
I start the machine using a batch file which runs Logger32. When I want to do a
contest, I close L32 and start WT, so the MK is always running and sorted before
WT starts.
Thanks for the pointer to the search site, I couldn't find it...
This weekend, the system seems to be working well. I have, however, changed the
port setup (having searched the archives) to set the RTS and DTR to 'always on'
- I don't know whether this is why it all worked this weekend, because I have
changed the version of WT as well.
Whatever, it seems to work.
Thanks again.
73,
John

1. What have I done wrong? I had it all working fine, but now, when I press a
function key, only the 1st character of the CW message is sent, and then only
once. It will send nothing else unless I press esc. Then it will send the 1st
character again. It keys perfectly using the paddle, and works correctly in
Logger32. I guess I've broken it again!
You are not the first to see this problem. First, in Win-Test, try SETUP
[Enter] [Enter] to reset and reinitialize communications with all COM ports,
including the microkeyer port. Does that help?
Second, what is the exact model of microHAM device you are using? MK, MKII,
MK2R, MK2R_, u2R?
What version of Win-Test are you running? Recent fixes include better support
for u2R.
Make sure you only have ONE method of sending CW: microHAM on COM port. If
you also have CW keying defined on any COM port pins or the LPT port, get rid of
that.
If you still can't see it, send me a screen shot of your Interfaces
Configuration window and your Router ports window.
2. How do I search the archives of this list, so as to avoid asking the same
question someone else has already asked? I can only find a list, which means I
can open September, look through it, close it, open August, look through it,
etc. Is there a slick way? I mean, life's too short not to use a search tool...
Use the search box at http://www.win-test.com/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=1720 .
There are also links to the entire archive on that page.
