OmniRig should be installed and run as an Administrator.
According to this
post<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dxatlas_group/message/1834>from
VE3NEA, author of OmniRig and several other programs such as CW
Skimmer, all of his programs are designed to run under Windows XP. So on
Vista or Win 7, you should run them in XP compatibility mode.
To fix the immediate problem, paraphrasing from Alex's post:
"Uninstall OmniRig via Add/Remove Programs, then install it again, but be
sure to run the installer with Administrator privileges. To do so, log in as
Administrator, then right-click on Setup.exe and click on Run as
Administrator in the popup menu. Note that a simple double-click on
Setup.exe will start it with standard privileges even if you are logged in
as Administrator."
Maybe you should do the same for both Win-test and OmniRig. Right click on
the icon and select Properties then "Run in XP compatibility mode", and "Run
as administrator." It may fix the hidden file problem as well.
