Hi Bob and Neil,

Neil has two of those converters, one comes up as COM3, and one as COM4, and there are no "real" COM1 or COM2 ports listed.  The one on COM3 we set up as PTT on DTR/RTS and it worked fine with Win-Test.  The one on COM4 was connected to the IC-746Pro and it only works in a very limited way with Win-Test and his IC-746 Pro.

have you tried to exchange the two converters, i.e. using COM3 for CAT and COM4 for PTT?
