I'm having trouble understanding this one from the above description.  I
don't recall this being discussed or mentioned here on the reflector, though
maybe I missed it.

Is the goal of this feature is to spread out the pileup, so that you don't
end up calling on the exact same frequency as everyone else?  I would think
that random rig calibration errors would already take care of that.  Maybe
if you prefer to always call "100 Hz below" the spot frequency, a feature
that would turn on and set XIT to a programmed or random offset might be
helpful.  But I don't think this feature is doing that.
