[WT-support] Suggestion: Auto Translate "cut numbers" entered in Received Serial No. column

Many of us are familiar with the standard CW "cut numbers" used to
abbreviate serial numbers in an exchange:
1 = A
2 = U
3 = V
4 = 4
5 = E
6 = 6
7 = B
8 = D
9 = N
0 (zero) = T
Win-Test can transmit variations of these according to Options | CW | Serial
number, but unlike N1MM and Writelog, it cannot "receive" these cut numbers.
It would be nice if you could type the following in Received Serial No.
column:
ANTT
and when you press [Enter] or [+] to log the QSO, Win-Test would
automatically translate the field to
1900
Similarly, if typos or fumble fingers put any unrecognized characters into
the serial no., such as
/2W3
It would be nice if Win-Test would just ignore the invalid characters and
log:
23
(Note: the question mark "?" character must still work in the special way
it works today, as a placeholder).
Most log checking software will reject QSOs in Cabrillo files that have a
non-numeric symbols in the serial number column. It would be nice if
Win-test would never put such characters into the Cabrillo file.
Instead of updating immediately when you press Enter, perhaps Win-Test could
do the translation when the log is exported to Cabrillo, ADIF, TXT, etc.,
leaving the contents of .WTB file "as typed."
Developer's choice.
