[WT-support] SO2R on 2 networked computers

Hi, Fabio and others!

I agree with you Fabio based on my 2 years SO2R 2PC
expirience of your hardware idea.
In my opinion RDO sport is based on the gentleman honesty.
If somebody is intended to cheet, he will found a way to do it
ALWAYS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
The only event which brings all things to "clear waters" IS WRTC.

Thanks to Win-Test team for good "working horse" contest software!

Hi guys,

is not too difficult interlock both PTT lines with 2 two way relays that
open the unused radio when the used in on and viceversa.

Software interlock cannot avoid Footswitch press, in SSB mode because most
of the time the footswitch are direct connected to the radios or amps.

In my personal experience, avoid to do in software what u can do in
hardware, software can glitch,
PC can broke or slow down the proccess for any reason, and this is a simply
need that 2 relay could resolve it.

  Hi WT so2r users ;)
I agree with Zoli abt using net interlock in so/so2r setup when use 2
PCs... or more ;)
With one PC and simple so2r box you cant TX with both TXs at the same
time, you can try to use 2 simple transistored keyers (CW mode).. no need of
Mk/Ez/etc... But with 2 networked PCs its easy to cheat!
  PC 1. RUN CQ --
PC 2. at the same when 1st is on the air , 2nd working new mult or needed
station ...

Its against the rules to have 2 signals in SO on 2 diff. bands at the same
time?

Maybe a TX inhibit input would overcome this if U don't want to code it
into the networking protocol. Breaking the PTT line on the other radio only
could make the op sound like a lid if the interrupted message is still being
played when the interrupting message finishes.
