I actually found something on the web about people having
similar problems, so I made the swap in ours and it fixed
it. This was when we were running N1MM.
I'm not sure the root cause of the problems, but we have it
here on two Dell computers running XP Pro and it is a
problem on both N1MM and Wintest. We use Rigblasters for the
RTTY FSK interfaces. I spent quite a bit of time trying to
sort it out and any time I tried using MMTTY through any COM
port other than COM1 with N1MM it would crash.
Changing the radio to Com2 and the Rigblaster to Com1 cures
it with both Wintest and N1MM.
I spent hours reading manuals and the only thing that worked
was going to COM1 with the Rigblasters.
