[WT-support] Revisiting the Yaesu FT-990

First of all, I never did get a real fix for a 990 issue.  Although I have V4 I have been using V3 since some of the computers I use are still the older Win 98 machines and V4 will not work.
Anyway, I am setting up for the ARRL 160 contest this coming weekend and noticed that clicking on a spot sends the radio into LSB.........every time.   I want to use the 990 because the receiver seems to be better than any of the other radios I have here.

The 990 has a din connector for the CAT interface so it is not a plug and play type deal such as found on the 1000 series (and others).
I may have missed some discussion on this over the past year so if anyone has the answer on this problem I certainly would appreciate some input.
