Step by step since you say you are not "Computer Savvy" :-)

   1. Start Win-Test and get to the main loggin window
   2. In the callsign field of the loggin window, type SETUP and press
   [Enter]
   3. Next to the COM port for Radio 1 (the K3), press the [Configure]
   button
   4. Press the big button [K3 Elecraft Default Settings] and you should see
   DTR and RTS change to "Always OFF"
   5. Press OK

The problem should go away.  Please let us know.
