This appears to be a duplicate post from yesterday.  Lack of response
usually means "No". :-)

There doesn't appear to be any way to disable these bandmap pop-ups, except
to keep your mouse cursor moving, or to use the Band Map navigation keys
instead of the mouse.  See

You can disable the menu item "Tool Tips" by removing the check mark next to


Help -> Display text command tips for menu items

but this has no affect on the band map "tool tips".

Personally I prefer that they not be disabled.  Sometimes it's hard to
remember what the band map colors and fonts mean.  The hover pop-up helps
you understand the meaning, as well as the age of the spot, without
cluttering up the window.
