I think if you do NOT copy all the required exchange with
your ears - the QSO is void! Its not a test of software
writers ability, but a test of the skills of the operator
and that includes listening skills.
Thje computer inserts the serial number, in most occasions
(if it knows it) the IOTA reference, so what is left for the
operator to do? Just deduce who is actually calling.
It seems that operator skills are being watered down.
IMHO if you cannot hear the UIOTA reference transmitted -
the QSO is NOT COMPLETE and void!
