COM PORTS ....
I also had the same issue with new laptop...
I just deleted all the unused com port set by some Bluetooth technology that
steals all the first com ports...
Then every thing works ok

Few of today's computers have RS-232 ports and mine has no RS-232 ports
but it does have three USB ports and are identified as Comm 12 and 13
when using a USB to RS-232 converter. However, neither of the two "Comm
ports" are accepted by the configuration setup in Win-Test when using a
K3 transceiver. Are there any solutions? W7UPF donsay2 at cox.net
