[WT-support] No CW

I have eventually solved this problem. I don't know what I did to solve it.
It turned out that it WAS sending CW to the correct port, but it was so
chopped up, it was as if it was only sending clicks, and therefore appeared
to not be sending at all. I slowed the CW down to 12 wpm, listened on
another radio, and there were lots of clicky noises. I typed 'NOSOUND' and
it started working. I typed 'SOUND' and it stopped working. I had typed
these commands many times before. In either case there is no sound from the
PC. There is no PC Beep control in the BIOS. The Volume Control panel has an
enable PC Beep check box, but it made no difference.
I'm mystified, and not entirely happy. But it's working.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions on and off reflector.

Subject: [WT-support] No CW
I have installed Windows XP on an Asus EEE mini laptop. I am using one of
these Prolific USB to Serial convertors. I have installed DLPortIO. This is
an arrangement which has worked on other computers.
There is no CW sound at all (with sound on or off) and no CW keying on the
serial line. No PTT either.
Is there something which I have forgotten to do, or do I have a problem with
my hardware here...?
