[WT-support] PTT wanted for all modes

Hi to all, too,

Ulf, that?s a really good idea, it would be a nice solution.

In the last months till now I?m planing the final shack-setup at DF0CG/DR1A
and in the moment my plan says that I need 12 more PTT,CW,RTTY-Modems only
for Rtty, because I don?t want to switch the modems or change the ports in
Win-Test before every contest....before every contest you have to check all
12 stations, if everything is allright....it?s a small source for mistakes
and most HAMs call that Murphy ;-)

Till now my plan says every computer provides 3 Com-Ports via USB for every
TRX.
COM1 = 9/25 pin real Com-Port for CAT-control,
"COM2"-USB->PTT,CW,(RTTY)-Modem used by Win-Test(for CW/SSB) and on "COM3"
the second USB->PTT,(CW),RTTY-Modem used by MMTTY (for RTTY).



So I would be very happy, if it possible to add a command like Ulf has
written before....or a switchbox in "configure-interfaces" like "If RTTY &
MMTTY is used, PTT by MMTTY and switch of COM-Port used by
Win-Test"......hmmm, keep it short ;-)

  if I'm right, the PTT will also be generated in SSB, playing messages.
  The only problem is RTTY, where MMTTY controls the PTT.
  As long as WT uses a certain COM-port, this port is not available for
MMTY.
  So there are a few solution....
  1. Using another COM-Port for RTTY and combine both PTT's
  2. Using an external controlbox, like microham microkeyer
  3. WT-team: Deactivate the PTT-COM-port, if RTTY is selected -> so MMTY
can use this port?

  I think there was text commands like PTT and NOPTT, but I can't find these
commands in the docs...

    Hi,

    I still would like to have PTT working for all modes via the COM port,
not only in CW. The TUNE command already makes PTT at the COM port via the
RTS or DTR pins, so why not during transmitting RTTY and SSB? I would also
have the possibility to switch PTT on or off in CW.
