Jim,

HB9CZF sent me a little trick to even excerpt JPG and PNG files from
a MS-Word file:

Save the word file in HTML format.  There will be a directory, where
you find all pictures in the PNG and JPG format, PNG being the better
quality.

So maybe you can do it without my help?
