Yes I agree Pablo. What I am saying is that for most purposes, 
contesting or not, a speed range of 15 to 40 wpm will meet all 
requirements. This will then put the speed pot at  mid-range, at 12 
o'clock position, around 30 wpm. As you say most cases will only need a 
few wpm change. That is how I use it for non-contesting, so I would 
expect it to follow for contesting. I then use alt F9/10 to change 
computer keying.

I had a most embarrassing experience this evening when I called DF2UU. I 
set the external speed to 34 wpm and yet it sent at about 25wpm. This is 
not good.
