[WT-support] IC - 765 Radio Control

I use two IC-765s here. I recall some discussion from the DXbase reflector a
year or two ago when I had a similar problem with the way that program spoke
with the Icom radios. While the DXbase folks refused to correct the Icom
VFO-A problem, WT fixed it.

I recall that Icom CI-V indeed does not differentiate VFO-A from VFO-B (for
the 765 and some other Icom radios). In other words, if polled, the Icom
radio will simply respond with "VFO" and not whether it is A or B.
Additionally, if "go to VFO mode" is sent to the radio via CI-V, the Icom
radio will default to VFO-A, even if it is already in VFO mode, albeit
VFO-B. Some programs (I think) poll/query the radio first. If it is already
in VFO mode, they simply send frequency data and will not bother to tell it
to go to VFO.

Next, (from the NA user manual) Icom CI-V does not have a provision for
CW-N, only CW. If polled/queried, the radio will only respond with "CW"
mode, not whether it is CW-wide or CW-narrow. If the radio is already in CW
mode, some programs will not send "mode data" to the radio, just frequency,
leaving the radio in its present mode (which is assumed to be CW-narrow.) If
it is in SSB, it must send "mode data" as CW and the Icom then will default
to CW-wide.

Probably programming shortcomings on Icom's part many years ago ...
