While that may be good for you, it could be a nightmare for 
others. I don't like the idea of a mouse on the desk either, 
it gets in the way and requires the operators hand leave the 
keyboard. Not a good thing at all.

On the other hand too many keystrokes doing too many things 
can also be distracting and time consuming.

So what we have is a matter of what each person thinks is 
better rather than a clear best choice.

It sounds like you really need one additional operator with 
his own  radio that can go multiband just to handle the 
spots.  :-)
