[WT-support] Bugs and needed features

Thanks Jose:)

now I see there is logic. But still I think in most of the cases a user of this command would like to pull the frequency from the Inactive Radio to the Active Radio. In SO2R if you find good run frequency with the second radio you can send QRL or sth with SHIFT key and not really changing the Active Radio. I understand that this is the virtue of WT that you almost never have to change the Active Radio when you usually have one radio as CQ Radio and the other as SP radio. You can use SHIFT!

But of course, mostly I have this command in mind for WRTC - I was really glad to see it. The 2nd OP finds a station to work on his Radio and you can instantly change the frequencies (hopefully a shortcut key will be provided) and work him on the A radio. Presently you have to type SWAP+ENT+*

This is an important SO2R feature and btw, in TR Log EXCHANGE FREQUENCIES is not working correctly so I was very glad to see it in WT. I would ask to create a user selectable option for that : SWAP FREQUENCIES ALSO SWAPS RADIOS - YES/NO

I believe there are other WRTCers and SO2Rers backing me here:)

Hi Tonno and all

I asked F5MZN for this swap command and it is working fine.
The command swaps radios and it is suppoded to ALSO change the active radio.

This is very helpfull for changing bands. You are running on radio 1 frequency (ACTIVE RADIO) and want to move to radio2 frequency on a crowded band and not sure the frequency will be good AND AFTER MOVE want to keep radio 1 as ACTIVE radio with the new radio 2 frequency.

You are runing in radio 1 the active radio. Pick a clear frequency in radio2. Start tx in radio2 (now the active radio for a short time), if the run gets going and the frequency is good then it is time to swap the frequency of radio2 into radio1 and radio 1 becomes the active radio.
This is also very good for manual amplifiers. It will give you plenty of time to tune the amp for the new band when changing bands on a run
- run situation.

The SWAP command is working perfectly for what is supposed to do.

Of course you may want another functionality but please go for another command

:-))

If your F1 message is R2R2 F1 R1R2 for example and you press ESC during CQ then the Audio terminates correctly in R1R2 but if you terminate it with any other key (e.g. starting to enter callsign) then the Audio terminates at R2R2 and you have to switch manually to R1R1 or R1R2 to copy the station.

It also cures the CTRL T carrier problem. With smaller or no DELAY the carrier does not always come on although the DATA led at EZM is lit.

It could be just some command ($KEY) to activate ALT K or keyboard mode and Insert would stop it. The same command could be used in messages to send endings like frequencies etc.

This is very handy especially with long portable calls that you have worked in the contest before. Would it be possible to at least double click on the Check Partials windows to pull a callsign on the Callsign field?

CTRL 1, CTRL 2.. etc are all free! Would it be possible to use those to call the respective additional message? CTRL F1 to CTRL F12 are also free exept F1, F2, F3, F9 - those could be repositioned if this seems better. Another option would be to move F8 to F12 keys somewhere else and create 5 more messages there!?

Do the developers update the HF.DTB? Is there a way to merge HF.DTB and contest DTB?? Or should I take K5ZD master.DTA, turn it into Cabrillo log and Import to WT and then Update my Database?
