I confirm this test, to my it happens to me equally.
It is a vengeance, fearing that a better software prospers!!!
I have a taken charge EZMaster, not but problems with the W5XD multikeyer.

Yes I can confirm that the problem is certainly the W5XD multikeyer.
I have disconnected this now and gone over to an LPT interface for CW and the problem is solved.
Even at 40 wpm it is working fine.
That means I use two ports now instead of one but no problem with that if I use the LPT port
Like most computers now I only have one serial port.

It's a pity that W5XD did not show us ham spirit.
