Hi Olivier,
You are right, but it is not always possible to arrange such a fix.  In the
event I just turned off radio polling as it was a single band contest anyway.
On a related matter however;
On the FT1000 under full QSK CW, if the radio is being polled during the
same time as sending, the CW occasionally breaks up, missing out occasional
dots and dashes.
This is a problem of the CPU in the rig not being able to do more than one
thing at a time I guess and is definitely not fixable.
Indeed Elecraft recommend that the K2 radio is not polled by the computer
during TX periods if possible.
So perhaps you will consider that there is a value to such an option of
turning off the rig polling during TX after all.  Indeed another related
option that would be useful is to vary the polling rate.
