Hi all
Here is a short HOW-TO regarding the new bandplans implementation in
Win-Test v3.2.0

======================================================================
The MODE.DAT era is ending ! We added a new management feature for the
bandplans. You can now create a default and 9 custom additional
bandplans within WT with the Options / Bandplans menu item.
You can link one of these bandplans to a WT log in the contest
configuration dialog.
We remind you that bandplans are used to set the mode of the received
spots, and to discard them if the mode is not allowed in the choosen
contest mode.
If no bandplan exist, a default one will be automatically created from
your current MODE.DAT file - if it exists - or from predefined band
segments if not. Of course, you will be able to adjust this default
bandplan to your needs.
We advise you to use the default bandplan for all-modes (or mixed modes)
contests, and create mode-specific bandplans for single mode contests.
For example, you can setup a CW-specific bandplan with extended CW
segments (especially on 40 m) and use it for CW-only contests. The same
idea can be applied for majors SSB contests where - most of the time -
the lower part of the 40 m band is used.
Note that you can also access to the bandplans management window in the
bandmap properties dialog. In that case, only the bands of the current
contest are displayed.
