Hi,

Who can say what is valid and what is invalid exchange ? You ? Me ? Is it invalid when I write the same call which I listen really on the radio ? Its not my error if oposite station is giving /QRP and in fact I have to record into log what I listen not what I mean or what would be better for cabrillo.

If logger has problem with longer callsign record, thats no good logger, I think. It isnt problem for cabrillo.

Thats my personal idea.

  Hello Herve;

  I never log /QRP; it is not a valid exchange !!!

  I personally would remove it.

  In terms of logging software, I cannot think of a valid call that might be longer than IS0/IZ2ABP/P; though I can remember some calls like BY1QH/Own call. So 12 characters should always be enough!

  Ultimately, the cabrillo output file format should define the max length of the call field (I haven't checked this). If any logging program has a file size bigger than the allowed cabrillo format, then it will not conform !

    Hello with all, I used Wintest v3.0 for the IOTA HF 2006, since the radio-club Cappellois "F8KGS" and I have a small question to subject to you. At the time of this contest, I contacted IS0/IZ2ABP/QRP but in the log it was indicated there IS0/IZ2ABP/QR? It summer impossible to add P of QRP because the field of saissy of the code be too short. During do the creation of the file cabrillo, I have to add P of QRP? Can you inform me, thank you and 73 for F8KGS - Herve (F6UGW)
