Did you get success with your TS-2000 Greg? You should try to set the 
serial speed to 4800 on the radio (with the menu item 56). Then you must 
set WT to 4800-baud, 8-bits, no parity, 2 stopbits. BTW, you should also 
try to disable the handcheck control (better to set DTR and RTS to 0).
