Hi Larry and Oliver,
As for accademic discussion, holiday season is the right time to think ....
I can disagree little bit, is enough to write in red at the bottom line,
same line of the dupe , "non EU", and if you want still press spacebar and
ENTER to log it !! Same thing of the "----" but more clear because your are
marking "----" and probable more easy to view because everyone look at the
bottom row for showing information, and this is a needed information. Same
thing happen in the ARRLDX with Non US marked with "----" or WEADC with EU
without knowing why .
Some user with some exotic call don't know if the QSO could be valid or not,
you can
save time if you notify him the validity or not simply notifying it in the
right place where everyone expect to have notification, last bottom line.
Another issue is that invalid call are written in the cabrillo file, at
least if in the log you
want to log it for your QSL reason, agree with me that having these QSO in
cabrillo file
to be supplied at the Contest Commitee is surely not correct. Obviously they
will not be
counted so your score will not be affected etc. etc. I think that at least
in the cabrillo these
QSO need to be removed. If log is a list of QSO and everyone can do what he
want, logging invalid QSO for that particular contest, the submitted
cabrillo file need to be the list of only the valid QSO for that particular
contest.
