Hello Filipe,
i sent an email several weeks ago through this reflector, I got only one
mail back.
Maybe we get now response:
Hi to all,
the Austrian HQ-Team OE1A is preparing again for the IARU-Contest. We are
also discussing, what network we should use.
Last year experience in a few sentence:
- The Tunnel-Software (on a stable Linux-Server crashed after few
minutes, so we had to program a script, to restart every 1,5 minutes
- So every client had to reconnect every 1,5 min , that made a lot of
extra traffic
- Synchronization worked good, but we had some QSOs they were only on
one or a few computers (see the pdf with different scores and QSOs)
- (By the way, all logs had exact the same contest-configuration)
- The Stations in the Status-Window disappeared sometimes an had
timeouts
- Stable internet connection (no HSDPA, GPRS and UMTS) had a little
better result with synchronization
So this year, there are some questions again:
- Is this year a better Tunnel available?
- Did any team last year better with the tunnel?
- Did any team tried OpenVPN or Hamachi?
- Is there again a possibility for a free HQ-Version (maybe only a few
in Austria, because nearly all good Contest-Stations are using Wintest here
;-))

Hi Guys,
I have been a litle away from the mailing list.
Any news if there will be a new HQ version or Tunnel for IARU this year?
