[wt4hq] This year's version; logsync

Hello,

obviously, everybody is getting nervous on setting this year's win-test
up, and we'd like to know if this year's HQ version might be released a
few days earlier than last years, to enable some more testing.
Specifically, I'd like to know from which version this year's HQ version
will branch. I note that .21-dev in the nightly section has a new
network protocol.
Most of our stations do have properly licensed Win-Test by now, so
the HQ version is mostly a non-issue, but there might be some
last-minute changes.

I assume with the new protocol there may be a new tunnel client &
server. Have the memory leaks been found ?

And finally to address our biggest concern: Logsync. As reported, last
year we failed again to get our network to properly logsync over the
net, due to just the huge ammount of traffic.
In a better-than-nothing approach, would an "offline" logsync be
possible ? ie, every, say, hour or so, every site sends the log as
captured on the local lan to a central server, who merges those logs,
and sends them back to the sites to import the missing Q's ?
While inherently more work, its better than nothing, and we just had
to turn logsync off again last time...

Best regards,

Mario
